Photography: Mike Morris / Vogue Arabia | Hijab: Framed People | Bag: Zara By the time the end of NYFW rolled around, I was tired, exhausted and unsatisfied with the looks I had previously planned to wear. So on the morning of the Derek Lam show, I made a quick trip to Zara and somehow ended up with this emerald green dress in my shopping bags. I knew I wanted to be comfortable. So I paired the dress with these baggy, faux leather trousers. Since the dress was mid-sleeve, I wore a crisp white button up underneath it, with the cuffs folded up. I also wanted to elevate the look a bit since it was Fashion Week. Therefore, I decided to wear these suede Gucci loafers which are not only pretty, but super comfortable. What I love most about this outfit is that it’s super affordable, with key accessory pieces elevating the overall look. From the black feather trim on the hijab, to the frill details on the dress, attention to detail is key. It’s all about the simple elements that tone up the dress from ordinary to extraordinary.
