As the last week of 2016 rolled in, Rashad and I decided to take a last minute trip to the City of Angels to close out the year with a bang. On a whim, we packed our suitcases and drove down Highway 5 and 5 and a half hours later we arrived in Hollywood. I was very excited for this trip, because although it was my third time visiting LA in just the past few months, I haven’t completed many of the bucket list items I’ve wanted to do. At the top of that list was hiking the Hollywood Sign Trail, which I have to say is a MUST DO! We began our hike early in the day, as the trail closes at sunset, and came prepared with the knowledge of which trail we would walk because there is no internet service in the area. I threw on some leggings and one of my husband’s tops to stay comfortable, and we trekked our way to the top of the trail. The views that came before us were incredible. Hills upon hills, rolling into one another, with nature all along the way. The city looked so small, and yet so magnificent, a nice compliment to the lush green surrounding it.
